Sarah Cifuentes Holistic & Embodied Psychotherapy
Sarah Cifuentes
Sarah is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist living and working in Ontario.
She has spent the past decade of her life committed to her own journey of healing, self-inquiry and discovery. Nature has been, and continues to be, one of her biggest teachers - a reminder to honour the seasons and cycles within oneself and all of life. She has an interest in herbalism and is humbled by the intelligence of the plant world. She honours the full spectrum of the human experience, which includes trauma and triumph, pleasure and pain, beauty and grief, and everything in between. She is a lifelong learner, avid traveller + explorer of life, and enjoys dancing, singing, cooking, and embracing rest as an act of resistance to a culture that demands constant 'doing'.
She is passionate about a holistic approach to mental health care - one that honours the entire person and all aspects of being: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. Her practice is rooted in the belief that within every person exists a wellspring — a source of wisdom, creativity, and innate capacity for healing. She strives to embody an empathic, grounded presence that creates a healing space for her clients to reconnect to their own inner wisdom. She brings an intuitive, compassionate curiosity to the therapeutic relationship, equipped with a healthy dose of playfulness and humour.
She also has 2.5 years of experience working as a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist at Field Trip Health in Toronto. She provides psychedelic preparation and integration support.
How she can help in your wellness journey
Sarah specializes in supporting young adults and women who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, stress + burnout, relationship issues, emotional regulation, and navigating life transitions. She also provides harm reduction education and support to those preparing for, or integrating a psychedelic experience.
Through a holistic and integrative approach, she supports her client to develop a more intimate relationship with themselves, reconnect with their inner wisdom, transmute their pain into peace, live an embodied life in alignment with their values, and learn skills to build their capacity to hold life's complexities.
She draws from various therapeutic modalities, such as: Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. Her approach is also informed by her training in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and conscious connected breathwork. Sessions go beyond simply talking, but also involve experiential exercises such as, meditation, mindfulness, 1:1 facilitated breath work, and expressive arts practices.
